Why China?

I think we had about maybe two or three people ask us during the adoption process, "Why China?"  Well, we felt like that is what God was telling us to do.So many times he tells us to do things that we do not do and there is no telling how many blessings we rob ourselves from by not responding to him and stepping out in faith.   My wife said it best. " It doesn't matter, every child deserves a home no matter where they come from".  A friend of ours we met in China who was adopting their second child told us someone asked them the same question.  The person asked, "Why are you going all the way to China when there are kids here in the United States that need a home? Why don't you just adopt here?" Our friend said in a very calm and nice way with a sincere tone, "Why don't you?" If you are reading this and you are thinking about adopting remember this.  It does not matter where you adopt because every child deserves a home and a mom and dad.  Don't let anyone discourage you on your choice where you adopt.  Pray and ask God to give you the direction and just respond!  I promise you will not be sorry.  The picture I included is proof.  :)
